is the greatest ad. You could get a free monkey just for getting people
to sign up for a photo enlargement service. (There is always a catch.)
I kind of get the feeling that nobody ever got a free monkey
from these people but they probably got a lot of kids to send in a handful
of orders (but never quite enough) and at the end of the day all of those
little orders probably added up quite nicely.
How many kids got involved with this company only to recruit 5 or 6 customers before their parents found out? How many kids almost got away with it? How many monkeys were really given away? Was the supply really limited or were they just saying that? I don't suppose we'll ever know.
